On March 21, 2024, Lyne Durivage (President of the CVE Pickleball Association), Chuck Merovitz (Director of the Sponsorship Committee for the annual UNIMED-CVE Pickleball Tournament), and Stéphane Dumas (President of the 2024 UNIMED-CVE Pickleball Tournament) had, once again this year, the joy and privilege of presenting, on your behalf, a check to the amount of $5,000.00 to Mr. Keith Kilpatrick, Director of Gateway Community Outreach in Deerfield Beach. In 2023, we supported Gateway with the sum of $2,300.00.
This amount makes a huge difference in the lives of residents in need in Deerfield Beach. Gateway Community Outreach Deerfield Beach provides financial support (rent or mortgage) to those in difficulty, food through over 10 local food banks and breakfasts for children, clothing (for Deerfield Beach residents only), as well as prevention and case management at various levels and other related services to individuals and families in need and homeless.
Thank you to all our sponsors, the CVE Pickelball Association, and the participants of the 2024 Edition whose generosity made a difference in the lives of residents of Deerfield Beach.
Le 21 mars 2024, Lyne Durivage (Présidente de l'Association de CVE Pickleball), Chuck Merovitz (Directeur du Comité des Commandites pour le Tournoi annuel 2024 UNIMED- CVE Pickleball) et Stéphane Dumas (Président du Tournoi annuel 2024 UNIMED-CVE Pickleball) ont eu, encore cette année, le bonheur et le privilège de remettre, en votre nom, à M. Keith Kilpatrick, Directeur de Gateway Community Outreach de Deerfield Beach un chèque au montant de $5,000.00. En 2023, nous avions soutenu Gateway en leur remettant la somme de $2,300.00.
Cette somme fait une énorme différence dans la vie de résidents dans le besoin de Deerfield Beach. Gateway Community Outreach Deerfield Beach apporte du soutien financier (loyers ou hypothèques) aux personnes en difficulté, de la nourriture auprès de plus de 10 banques alimentaires locales et des déjeuners pour les enfants, des vêtements (pour les résidents de Deerfield Beach seulement) et de la prévention et gestion de cas à divers niveaux et autres services connexes aux personnes et familles en difficulté et sans domicile fixe. Message to all tournament participants and CVEP members
On my personal behalf and on behalf of all the members of the Tournament Organizing Committee and volunteers of the 2024 Edition of the UNIMED-CVEP Pickleball Tournament, I would like to express our gratitude for the exceptional day we had last Saturday, February 24, 2024.
An event of this importance cannot happen without the support and hard work of volunteers. We are privileged to have been able to count, once again this year, on a group of men and women willing to dedicate their time and effort to make this Tournament YOUR TOURNAMENT and to demonstrate how active, inclusive, and vibrant our CVEP pickleball community is.
We were blessed with more than favorable weather throughout the day, allowing us to complete all competitions within the scheduled time. Just a reminder:

You were 160 participants;

You competed in 7 categories;

You played over 250 games on 12 courts;

You won 42 medals (14 Gold - 14 Silver - 14 Bronze);

And most importantly, YOU HAD FUN.

Thank you all for your sportsmanship, camaraderie, and support and encouragement. Many of you not only actively played but also cheered on your friends on all the courts of the Clubhouse and the Parking Lot.
Special thanks to CVEP and all its directors for their exceptional support and contribution, and for the delicious snack served at the end of the tournament.

Some have been with us for 2 years while others joined us this year. Message à tous les participants du tournoi et membres de CVEP
En mon nom personnel et au nom de tous les membres du Comité organisateur du tournoi et bénévoles de l’Édition 2024 du Tournoi de Pickleball UNIMED-CVEP, je tiens à vous remercier pour la journée exceptionnelle que nous avons eu samedi dernier le 24 février 2024.
Un événement de cette envergure ne peut se faire sans le soutien et le travail acharné de bénévoles. Nous sommes privilégiés d’avoir pu compter, encore une fois cette année, sur un groupe d’hommes et de femmes désireux de consacrer, temps et effort, afin de faire de ce Tournoi VOTRE TOURNOI et démontre à quel point notre communauté d’amateurs et passionnés de pickleball de CVEP est active, inclusive et vibrante.
Une température plus que clémente nous a accompagné toute la journée et nous a permis de compléter toutes les compétitions dans le temps prévu. Je vous rappelle que :
- Vous étiez 160 participants;
- Vous avec compétitionné dans 7 catégories;
- Vous avez joué plus de 250 parties sur 12 terrains;
- Vous avez remporté 42 médailles (14 Or – 14 Argent et 14 Bronze);
- Et surtout, le plus important, que VOUS VOUS ÊTES AMUSÉS.
Merci à vous tous et toutes pour votre esprit sportif, de camaraderie et de soutien et d’encouragement. Vous avez été nombreux, non seulement à jouer activement, mais aussi à encourager vos amis (es) sur tous les terrains du Clubhouse et du Parking Lot.
Merci à CVEP et à tous ses directeurs/directrices pour leur soutien et contribution exceptionnels et pour le délicieux goûter qui a été servi à la fin de tournoi.
Ce Tournoi ne pourrait avoir lieu sans le support de commanditaires. Des remerciements tout particuliers à UNIMED qui a donné très généreusement en tant que commanditaire officiel de notre Tournoi. Certains nous accompagnent depuis 2 ans tandis que d’autres se sont joints à nous cette année.
