• New players will surely find it useful to consult the summary of the rules offered below. For more experienced players, we offer you an adapted version in French of the official rules of the U.S.A. Pickleball Association.

• A game is won by the team or the player who goes first to 11 points. There must be two points of difference with the opposing team or player.

• A point is counted only when one has the service, if one loses the exchange, there is no point but only a change of server.

​

• The server must ensure that the receiver is ready before performing the service.

​

• The server must say the score aloud before serving, starting with the server pointing, then the receiver.

​

• Only one service can be performed; if the ball falls in the opposite rectangle, play continues; if the ball does not fall in the opposite rectangle, the service is lost.

​

• The service is from behind the bottom line, and must be done from bottom to top.

​

• In service, the ball must be struck in the air, lower than the belt; she must let go of the hand before the keystroke and she must not touch the ground before the keystroke of the server.

​

• After the server hits, the ball must go into the opposite rectangle of the field, without touching the net or the service line, 7 feet (2.13360 meters) from the net.

​

• The ball must touch the ground before the receiver returns it, and the return of the receiver to the service side must touch the ground before the service side returns it; afterwards, the ball can be struck on the fly; in other words, there must be two hops (one on each side) before it can be hit on the fly.

​

• Controlled Action Zone (7 feet from the net): The ball can not be hit on the fly when the batter is inside the ball; the ball may be hit in the controlled area if it hits the ground.
